Anyone have any idea when this might be coming out? Everything on google is outdated and from 97-98'
I live kinda close (well even if I didn't I would still go) and I really would like to see something like this (as it's never been done before). What do you guys expect to be there? I wonder if they will have rooms for important shows, or albums.. with pictures everywhere, music playing.. enriched video footage..

But back to my point.. has anyone heard news on this?

I seem to remember buying a Terrapin Turtle cap and a box set of cds for this project. It seems that this is another case of mismanagement and unreal expectations from the GD machine. If memory serves me correctly, it was supposed to be a museum/state of the art recording studio/performance center. Did they really think that there was enough of a fanbase with enough money to finance a project of that size.

I "bought that" CD (in its couple senses), then later heard they had to scrap the themepark-type idea. :/

Me too. I also don't think that particular show really warranted an official release. Could have picked a better one, IMO.

Terrapin Station was Phil's idea. He chose his birthday show for the first release. Heard him talk about this on the David Gans show in Berkeley.

Most of that 40 bucks was supposed to build the theme park. This product is still being sold. Not sure wether they still charge 40 dollars, or if the price has dropped to about the normal 20 bucks that you paid for a show. GDM is on the brink of collapse these days...

This is one of my favorite chapters in post Garcia GD land. Steve Silberman took an idea of Phil's and blew it up into a huge story. I don't think it ever really had legs. Weren't we going to like check in with access badges and have our images floating up there? Maybe Rhino will pick up the ball and run with it. Or maybe we could just back where we were with accessablity 9 months ago. That'd be good too.

I oft wonder about that also- maybe it will be built when the Sunshine Daydream DVD(8/27/72 show) is officially released- lol...or when....maybe the Terrapin Unlimited CD proceeds went up someones nose ???

Hey, when it gets built, they should have a big animatronic Bobby near the exit waving his fist full of soundboards with a voice saying "See Ya!"

I have the signed Kelly Mouse poster. Guess I will sell it some day and cash in like GDM! The funds for my poster purchase also went to help build the museum, or up someones nose, so I won't feel to bad about selling it. Hope the artists got some of the proceeds.
